Holidays (Part II)

We had a few nice Christmas events in dec. First a dinner and dance at our church St. Andrews. It was in our very large parish hall and there was a good turn out. Secondly we had a progressive Christmas caroling party in our neighborhood. We met some neighbors enjoyed good food and saw some very nice homes (all of the with much larger kitchens I might add!)
We also attended the holiday party for physician specialist in anesthesia -I work for them prn in their pain clinic. They had a beautiful event at the Crown Plaza. They reserved the restaurant in the Crown Plaza for the night. We had appetizers,drinks,dinner and desserts. They had so much staff the minute you had an empty glass they were asking if you needed another drink. It was very nice and enjoyable.

Christmas Eve Mass

Leah flew out over Christmas and we enjoyed a quiet holiday. We did go see some Christmas displays and had dinner at Tap- a trendy gastropub in midtown. We also got dressed up for Christmas eve mass and had our traditional christmas dinner. She headed home on Wednesday.

Then we were surprised on Friday, Dec. 30 by Eric, he was deployed to Kuwait! As it turns out he was there to help with the troop pullout and then got to come home. He would have been here with us and Leah but the plane had a problem and they got stuck in St. Johns Newfoundland Canada for three days. We were just happy to have him with us to start the new year. It was all pretty uneventful. We went out one evening but stayed home and made Erics favorites the other nights.
